A destination worth the flight.
Doha's desert climate produces the Gulf's most extreme seasonal swing. Eleven complete years (2015-2025) show January averaging 18C with dry sunny days perfect for Corniche walks, July peaking at 37C average — with regular 45C+ afternoons and humidity from the Gulf making outdoor time genuinely dangerous between 11:00 and 17:00. Rainfall averages under 75 mm per year.
November, December, and February deliver Doha at its calendar peak. November brings 25C with Souq Waqif terraces full and dhow cruises running past sunset. December holds 20C — perfect for the National Museum's outdoor architecture and Al Zubarah day trips. February averages 19C with the year's clearest skies and desert-camp overnight weather at Khor Al Adaid. Qatar Grand Prix (late November) and Museum of Islamic Art programming peak in this window.
July and August are the months to avoid completely. Both hit 37C average with 40C+ common through the day and 30C+ overnight lows that never let the city cool. Most outdoor venues close, and even locals move indoors between meals.
For 2026, book November by August 2025 — Grand Prix week and Qatar National Day (December 18) push hotel rates 3x. February remains the year's most stable-weather month with fewer sandstorm risks than March.

Estimated round-trip fares from London, based on a 7-day stay. Rule-of-thumb pricing — the cheapest windows tend to be the shoulder months, so a shift of a fortnight can pay for a hotel.
