The best months to visit Bali are July, August. Late April through May: dry season starts, Nyepi silence has passed, Ubud rice terraces are still emerald, and Bukit surf swells build without August crowds.

October runs the highest averages in Bali, with typical daytime highs of 21°C (69°F). Locals flip schedules; ceremonies start at 5am, and afternoons collapse into warungs with es kelapa muda coconut ice until sunset restarts life.

July brings the lowest averages, with daytime highs near 19°C (65°F). July nights in Munduk highlands drop to 15C; Kintamani ridge fog kills sunrise plans, and locals wear puffy jackets Westerners find comical.

December typically records the highest monthly rainfall — around 338mm on average. January monsoon is not all-day rain but violent 3pm bursts; Kuta streets flood ankle-deep for an hour then drain, scooters wade through.

Bali, Indonesia has mild summers, warm winters, a distinct rainy season. Canggu is expats and Bukit is surfers; real Bali culture concentrates in Sidemen and Amed on the east coast, still untouched by rooftop bars.
