Page is a small city on the border of Arizona and Utah, on the shore of Lake Powell within the Colorado Plateau. Founded in 1957 as a housing community for workers on the Glen Canyon Dam, Page has since become the gateway to some of the American Southwest's most photographed landscapes — Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Lake Powell itself. The town sits at 4,300 feet above sea level in high desert country, meaning cold, dry winters and hot summers with dramatic monsoon storms in July and August.
